Tasting note

Sam Lambson told me that he took over the Elgin site for his 2020 Experimental Noir at the end of the growing season, so he considers the 2021 to be his real maiden vintage. From vines planted in 2006, it has a relatively light but attractive nose with red berry fruit, thyme and light garrigue scents. The palate is well balanced with fine tannins, though it does not possess the cohesion or grip that I find on the subsequent vintage. Drink over the next three to five years.
