From jammy and rounded to delicate and floral, Grenache can express itself in vastly different ways depending on where it is grown. To showcase this range of flavours, we've selected Grenache wines from different parts of the world.

Our first wine is the Domaine Jean Royer Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Sables de la Crau 2018, made with 100% old vine Grenache from sandy soil in the Rhone region. Next, we'll try the Savage Wines Thief in the Night 2017, which offers a refreshing representation of Grenache from the mountainsides of South Africa. We’ll then taste the Daniel Gomez Jimenez-Landi 'Cantos del Diablo' 2016, a single-vineyard Grenache that showcases the grape's development under the Mediterranean climate in Metrida, Spain. Finally, we'll savor the Domaines Lupier La Dama 2016 from Navarra, Spain, grown on thinner, rocky, quartz-based soils that give the wine a unique character.

There are just countless other great expressions of Grenache that we couldn't include this time. Nonetheless, we've selected some interesting examples that we hope you'll enjoy as much as we do.
